Katho earned his PhD from the University of Natal, South Africa. He served for 14 years as the President of Shalom University and 10 years as the leader of the Brethren denomination in Eastern DR Congo. Katho’s passion and vision is to see the Christian leadership in his country, especially in eastern part of DR Congo become more responsible and help to build reconciled communities. As the President, Katho builds strategic partnerships and provides organizational leadership and direction to the Jeremiah Center for Faith and Society.
Rose Mfudi Ansobi
Assistant to the Director
Rose received her MA in Social Transformation: Security and Sustainable Peace from Tangaza University College, Nairobi/Kenya. She provides administrative support to the President by helping him to organize his office and tell the story of the Jeremiah Center to its partners both locally and abroad.
Isaac Mbabazi Kahwa
Research and Publication Coordinator
Isaac received his PhD from The University of Manchester, UK. He is Professor of New Testament and Director of the Research Center at Shalom University of Bunia, in the DR Congo. He works part-time at the Jeremiah Center to coordinate research and publication activities. A skilled editor, he helps to produce the Jeremiah Center monographs and Faith and Society magazine. He recently co-edited a book published by L’Harmattan (Le Territoire de Mambasa en Ituri, RD Congo: ses resources et le dévelepoment).
Negura F. Vicky
Negura received her DMin from Africa International University, Nairobi/Kenya. She worked for 14 years at Shalom University of Bunia, including 5 years as the Director of the Research Center. She is now serving fulltime at the Jeremiah Center, combining three ministries: Human Resource Management, Finances, and coordinating Logistics during the Jeremiah Center’s workshops, seminars and field research activities.
Local Partnership Coordinator
Way earned his PhD in International and Community Development from Deakin University, Australia. He is the initiator of the Faculty of Development Studies at Shalom University of Bunia, DR Congo, where he also lectures. The achievement of holistic community wellbeing of the vulnerable is his dream. He works part-time at the Jeremiah Center to coordinate local partnership, inviting church leaders, individual Christian leaders, Christian institutions, etc., into the vision of the Center. He also helps to coordinate field research activities.
Francine has a BA in Administration and Management from Shalom University of Bunia, DR Congo. She provides cleaning services to the Jeremiah Center for Faith and Society.
Paul W. Robinson
Senior Research Fellow
Paul is Professor Emeritus at Wheaton College (IL), and Co-Founder of Congo Initiative and currently a Fulbright Fellow at Uganda Christian University. He grew up in DR Congo and Kenya, and has lived and worked for 40 years in those countries. He earned a PhD from Northwestern University (African History). For 35 years, he developed, coordinated, and led international educational study programs for university students with St. Lawrence University and Wheaton College.
Honore received is PhD in Education from University of South Africa. He is Rector of Christian Bilingual University of Congo (UCBC), Beni, DR Congo. Honoré is an educator with a passion for the renewal of education in DR Congo, especially Christian Higher Education. Before his appointment as the Rector of UCBC, he served as the Academic Dean at the same institution, as Bible Translator and Assistant teacher at National Pedagogic Institute in Kinshasa.
Emmanuel Ndrundro Kodjo Research Fellow
Emmanuel is a Priest of the Diocese of Bunia and Rector of Saint Cyprian Major Seminary in Bunia, DR Congo. He earned a PhD from Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi. Before his appointment as the Rector, he served as the Director of Caritas Bunia and as the Coordinator of Catholic schools in the Diocese of Bunia
